John Moutsoulas, 77 of Salem passed away Monday evening, March 9, 2026 in the company of his family at the Kaplan Hospice House of Danvers. He was the husband of Jeannette (Talbot) Moutsoulas of Salem.
Born in Peabody, MA, John was the son of the late Leon and Demetra (Demopolus) Moutsoulas. After attending Peabody High School, John joined the US Army during the Vietnam War where he served his country honorably. John worked for many years at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem. He enjoyed cooking for his friends and family and especially loved cookouts. He also enjoyed long country drives with his wife Jeannette and making his family laugh.
Along with his wife, Jeannette (Talbot) Moutsoulas, John is survived by his two daughters Monica Lee and Rhonda Psomos and her husband Michael; his eight grandchildren and their spouses, John Medina and Will, Julia Plansker and Tyler, Arielle Karaj and Amir, Rachael Gunning and Daniel, Cassandra Vieira, Daniel Gunning, Zachary Vieira and Ashleigh, and Leah Frederick; his eight great-grandchildren, Juliana, Lexi, Avary, Mila, Evelyn, Lucia, Eden, Marion; his siblings, Demo Moutsoulas and Linda, and Alice Noble and James, and a brother-in-law Roger Talbot and Joyce and many nieces and nephews. John was the brother of the late Steve, Nick, Charlie, Nasso, and Billy Moutsoulas.
Funeral services have been privately held.
