John E. “Muzzy” Muzarol, 73

John E. “Muzzy” Muzarol, 73, of Beverly passed away peacefully Saturday morning July 20, 2024 at his residence after a brief illness. John was the son of the late Joseph Roy and Mary Magdeline (Sumigalski) Muzarol.
John was a lifelong resident of Beverly and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He worked various jobs throughout his career most notably as a truck driver for many years with Ocean Ventures in Danvers and Millbrook Cold Storage in Somerville before his retirement.
A product of the 60’s and hippie movement with a great taste of music and always long hair; John was an avid fisherman throughout his life and he enjoyed the thrill of trying to catch the next big striped bass. John’s life was shaped with unconditional love and a selfless commitment to his children, family and friends.
John is survived by his children, Amy L. Muzarol and her partner Paul Wilson of Narragansett, RI, and Justin E. Muzarol and his wife Amy of Salem, MA, his siblings, Joseph Muzarol and wife Sharon of Midwest City, OK, Betty Jones of Beverly, MA, Linda Tremblay and her husband Don of Salem, MA, Janice Wanchik of Beverly, MA, and Ellen Mathieson and her husband Jack of Lubbock, TX, his grandchildren, Michayla Anja of Los Angeles, CA, Lily Muzarol and Alex Muzarol of Salem, MA as well as several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, John is predeceased by his sister Marie Stillings.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours in the Berube & Sons Funeral Home, 191 Lafayette St Salem, MA on Wednesday, August 7 from 4-7 p.m.
