Anita J Dufour (Demeule), known by all of her friends and family as Anita, Mom and Memere, passed away Friday, November 22, 2024 surrounded by her four children.
Anita, born and raised in Salem, was a feisty French Canadian who was a lover of life and had a big case of FOMO (fear of missing out for those wondering). She never wanted to miss a moment! She was a strong believer in her faith, and the faith she put into her beloved Boston sports teams. She loved music, loved to cook classic French dishes for her family and friends, loved to travel and embraced every new opportunity thrown her way. Above all else, she loved her family. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren meant the world to her and she never took for granted an opportunity to be surrounded by the ones she loved and they loved her dearly in return.
She is predeceased by her husband Donald A Dufour. She is survived by her daughter Rena and husband Jimmy, daughter Donna and husband Michael, daughter Debbie and husband Steve and her son Marc and wife Jacquelyn. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren- Danielle, Shana, Rissa, Chris, Michelle, Jamie, Breanna, Ryan, AJ, Dana, Caitlyn, Kellie & Casey, in addition to many great grandchildren.
Forever loved, forever missed and forever in our hearts.
The holidays were very special to Anita. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to a family in need this holiday season.
