William J. Dinan, 59

William J. Dinan, 59 of Peabody passed away peacefully at his home on January 21. Bill was surrounded by his friends and chosen family.
Bill was born in Lynn and spent his life on the NorthShore, living in Groveland, Gloucester, Hamilton and Peabody. He worked in the light assembly industry and had been employed by Morgan Memorial Industries and Bass River Inc. Bill was welcomed into the greater Bass River community in 1992 and thrived. As a young man he grew to be looked up to and respected by his chosen family and his friends. Bill was a keen observer of life and its minutia. Besides his friends, he enjoyed a good cup of coffee, some great music, and getting dressed up for a big night on the town.
Bill is pre-deceased by his friends and roommates Roberta Little and Emmanuel Demetri. He is survived by his friend and guardian Gail Hall of Lynn and his roommates Gail, Karen and Tracey. Bill will be missed by these people as well as by the entire Bass River Community and particularly by the staff that attentively cared for him during his declining years.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation, celebration of life, and memorial service on Monday, January 27, 2025 beginning at 11:30 a.m. in the Salvation Army Chapel, 93 North St. Salem (parking behind rear of building). Donations may be made in Billy’s name to Bass River, Inc, 437 Essex St. Beverly, MA 01915.
