Haverhill- Frederick L. Gaudreault, 73 of Haverhill, formerly of Salem, passed away unexpectedly at his home Saturday, January 27, 2024. He was the husband of Kathleen Gaudreault of Haverhill.

Born in 1950, Fred was the son of the late Armand Gaudreault and Nancy (Little) Gaudreault. Fred worked at Salem State College for 25 years and served as a union representative. He was very active in the Salem community from a very young age, having coached Salem Youth Baseball for close to 40 years helping to co-found Salem Little League. Fred served as a coach and athletic director at St. Joseph’s School and coached baseball and softball at Bishop Fenwick High School for several years. He was also a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus, Veragua Council in Salem. Many of those lives that he touched followed in his footsteps and maintained lifelong friendships. He will be missed dearly by his family, friends, and colleagues.

Along with his wife Kathy (Butters) Gaudreault of Haverhill, MA, Freddy is survived by his son, Dr. Brian Gaudreault of Nantucket, MA, his daughter Lyn Ellen Manning of Haverhill, MA, his grandchildren, Megan Lee Manning, and Emma Kathleen Manning, his brothers, Peter Gaudreault and his wife Patricia, and David Gaudreault and his wife Katrina, his sister, Cheryl Bright and her partner Gary, and several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Fred was predeceased by his son-in-law Steven Manning.

Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours in the Berube & Sons Funeral Home, 191 Lafayette St. Salem, MA, on Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 4-8 p.m. His funeral Mass will be held in St. James Church, Federal St. Salem on Friday, February 2, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s cemetery.
