Carolyn P. Michaud, 72

April 26, 1950 – February 10, 2023

It is with deep sadness we inform you that our sister Carolyn P Michaud passed away on Feb. 10, 2023 at the Kaplan Hospice House after a brave struggle with endometrial cancer at the age of 72. She was born in Salem and was the daughter of Mary Michaud and the late Donald J Michaud of Salem.

Carolyn was a beautiful soul and a special individual, who lit up every room she stepped into with her infectious personality. She was a social trailblazer for disabled individuals and a natural leader, front and center at all social activities. She was loyal, big hearted, humorous, and over the top with exuberance at meeting new people. She had a gift of developing special relationships with everyone she met and a never-ending joy of living and loving people. Once meeting Carolyn, you were a friend for life, and in whom she never forgot. She thrived in her Bass River group home residence and programs because of the loving staff. Carolyn loved Jesus, her family, music, singing, cats, parties (especially Christmas) working at her job at Bass River, activities with friends at her group residence, drinking tea, leading a parade, and reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. Carolyn taught everyone to express their inner beauty without being judged. Carolyn, We were all truly blessed to have known you as there will never be another. Sail to the heavens with love and peace.

In addition to her mother, Sweet Carolyn is survived by her loving family members: MaryLou and (Don) Gauthier, Susanne Drucas, Jeannette Michaud, Donald and (Kathy) Michaud, Louise and (Mike) Magee, David Michaud and the late Amy Michaud.
