Cynthia Lucia Buonfiglio, 64

May 5, 1959 – November 10, 2023

Salem- Cynthia Lucia (Belfiore) Buonfiglio, 64, of Salem passed away at the Kaplan Hospice House in Danvers, Friday, November 10, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of John Buonfiglio of Salem.

Born in Salem, MA, Cindy was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Lucia (Lenares) Belfiore. She lived most of her life in Castle Hill in Salem. She graduated from Salem High School and received a degree from North Shore Community College. As a young woman, Cynthia was a member of Dean School of Dance's "Deanamics" with whom she traveled to dance competitions in and around New England and New York. Cynthia was later the proud owner of Dance Etc... of Salem where she taught dance and became affectionately known to generations of students as "Miss Cynthia". Many of her students started as Miss Cynthia's babies all the way up to their graduating dance as young women before leaving for college. Some students continued on in their adult years dancing alongside of Miss Cynthia in "The Solid Gold Dancers." In more recent years, Miss Cynthia also taught dance at A Performing Arts Academy in Salem, she also worked at Salem High School and at the Salem Community Life Center.

Cynthia enjoyed spending time at her lake house with both family and friends and vacationing with her husband John. She loved playing with her grandchildren and having them over to her house. Cynthia cherished a morning coffee and taking long walks with her friends. She was always excited to host holiday parties, especially Christmas and Halloween; two of her favorites. If it was a bit chilly you could always find her with a fire lit, watching a Hallmark movie, snuggled up in a blanket.

Along with her husband John Buonfiglio of Salem, Cynthia is survived by her children, Andrew Buonfiglio and his wife Jenna of Salem, MA, Michael Buonfiglio and his wife Colleen of Danvers, MA, and Lia Buonfiglio of San Diego, CA; and her grandchildren, Isla and Luca Buonfiglio and Carter and Cole Buonfiglio.
