Salem - Mark L. Henderson, 61, of Salem passed away at his home unexpectedly Wednesday, April 27, 2022.
Born in Saugus, MA, Mark was the son of the late Leonard and Justine (Farnham) Henderson. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Mark served his country honorably before returning to the Salem area. He worked for UPS for twenty-two years and then the City of Salem for eight years. Mark had a passion for cooking and staying physically fit, but most of all was an avid sports fan. He loved all Boston teams, especially the Boston Bruins. Mark loved his family more than anything and took pride in all of their accomplishments. Mark will be remembered for his unmatched work ethic, and for his quick wit and hilarious sense of humor, also known as “Hendo-isms”.
Mark is survived by his beautiful family; his wife Debbie of Peabody; his children Justin and his wife Kasey of Peabody, Darren and his wife Tess of Salem, Hayley and her boyfriend Radams of West Palm Beach, and Karly of Boynton Beach; his brother Scott of Salem; his grandchildren Maddox, Elizabeth (Libby), Camryn, Elizabeth, Francis, Gene, and Savannah; his niece Rachel, nephew Bryan and predeceased by his nephew Benjamin.
Services will be private with a celebration of life to be held at a future date. In lieu of funeral services and to honor Mark’s character, we ask that you “increase your following distance” and “always be aware of your surroundings”.
