Carole J. Bouchat, 70
June 25, 1951 – April 25, 2022
Carole Bouchat, 70, passed peacefully on Monday, April 25, surrounded by loved ones. She died, as she lived, with great dignity and grace.
Carole ultimately succumbed to complications related to cancer, against which she fought with determination and courage for nearly 3 years. Although there were good days and bad days, none went by in which she was not struck with wonder at and filled with gratitude for the beauty of life all around her. Most may not have known she was sick, as Carole still pursued her many and diverse interests with passion and verve, pretty much as she always had.
She was born Carole Triveri to Anthony and Mary (Barone) Triveri on June 25, 1951. She is survived by her husband, David of Marblehead, MA; daughter Allison Bouchat of Krefeld, Germany; son David Bouchat, Jr. of Fort Dix, New Jersey; daughter Adrienne Bouchat of Salem, MA; brother Arthur Triveri of Centerville, MA; brother Francis Triveri of Freeport, PA; sister Sandra Kurn of Natrona Heights, PA; and five adoring grandchildren. She grew up in Western Pennsylvania and lived in Marblehead for the past 36 years, where she was an engaged member of her community. She will be sorely missed by all who loved her, although her spirit remains in those she touched with her creativity, compassion, and wisdom.
Her Memorial Mass is planned for Friday, May 20 at 2:00 PM at Our Lady, Star of the Sea Church at 85 Atlantic Avenue, Marblehead. Following the service, a celebration and sharing of stories of her amazing life will be held at Caffe Italia, 10 School Street, Marblehead, from 3:00-5:30 PM. All family and friends are cordially invited to attend both the Mass and the celebration.
Carole was a champion of the advancement of women’s education and would have been pleased by a memorial donation in lieu of flowers. Donations may be made to the International Peace Scholarship Fund of P.E.O., the women’s philanthropic organization which Carole belonged to and loved for the past 32 years. (How to: visit https://donations.peointernational.org, and select P.E.O. International Peace Scholarship Fund (or any of the funds listed there). Please also reference Chapter P\MA.)
