Salem- Richard N. "Dick" Bois, 88, of Salem, passed away February 19th 2022 at the Pilgrim rehabilitation in Peabody surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Marie A. (Caton) Bois.

Born in Salem, Dick was the son of the late Thomas P. and Irene (Robichaud) Bois. Dick was raised in Salem primarily by his loving grandmother, the late Memere Emma Bois. Dick also took pride in being a lifeguard and water safety instructor who trained and managed Salem's beach and pool lifeguards for years. He was a long time member of the Salem and Danvers YMCAs and the member of the Red Cross. He was a rabid Red Sox fan and even tried out for Major League baseball as a young man.
