Martha Dunn-Strohecker, 91, previously of Marblehead MA, passed away peacefully December 13,2021 at Brooksby Village Senior Living in Peabody Mass.
Martha was born February 5, 1930 in Malta OH to George and Mabel Davis. Martha received both her master’s and PHD having an extensive career ranging from secondary and higher education teaching, community service in non profit and religious organizations, a school text book author since 1970 and numerous other areas.
She has received so many awards and honors throughout her lifetime including Ohio State’s highest award, the Centennial Award, Who’s Who of American Women, awards from both Ohio University and Harvard University for her work with families locally and globally and numerous others.
Martha was preceded in death by her loving husband of 30 years, Ben Strohecker, her sister Nancy Iliff and a brother Max Davis. She is survived by a sister Mary Kleeman, nieces Paula Tapp and Leslie Stall, nephews Jeff Smithson and Mark Davis as well as Sam Strohecker, Ben Strohecker JR and Sara Clarkson.
