Rosalie Callahan, 91

Salem- Rosalie (Kusek) Callahan, 91, of Salem passed away Saturday evening, August 29, 2020. She was the wife of the late Joseph F. Callahan, Jr, also of Salem.
Born in Salem, MA, Rosalie was the daughter of the late John and Anne (Darwak) Kusek. A graduate of Salem High School, Rosalie continued her education at Northeastern University where she met her husband to be Joseph. As a young woman, Rosalie worked as a professional model in Boston, Massachusetts, before retiring from modeling to have children.
Rosalie enjoyed visiting antique shops on the North shore and eating out at restaurants. In recent years she participated in many events at the Salem Council of Aging.
Rosalie is survived by her loving daughters, Christina Hausman and her husband Don, of Westford, MA, and Tracy Callahan and her significant other Jim Gagne of Salem, MA; and her three grandchildren, Ethan, Evan, and Emily. Rosalie was the last living member of her immediate family and will be buried with her husband Joseph, her Mom, and her sisters and bother.
Relatives and friends are invited to her graveside service to be held on Wednesday, September 9 at 11:30 am in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. Those attending are asked to gather at 11:15 at the corner entrance of the cemetery facing North Street to join the procession to the graveside. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Salem Council of Aging, Salem, MA. Assisting the family with services is the Berube & Sons Funeral Home of Salem.
