Roger C. Roy, 94

Danvers- Roger C. Roy, 94, of Danvers, passed away early Sunday morning July 26, 2020 at NSMC Salem Hospital. He was the loving husband of Virginia (Hooper) Simpson-Roy.
Born in Salem, MA, Roger graduated from Boston College in '48 and also received his Masters in Social Work from Boston College Class of '50. He later joined the Army and served his country honorably rising to the rank of Captain. Back home, Roger made a career working with students in Arlington, Malden, and Revere as an Adjustment Councilor.
Surviving him along with his wife, Virginia (Hooper) Simpson-Roy, are his son, Roger Roy of Salem; his step-daughter, Christine McIntosh and her husband Roger of Essex, MA; two step-sons Steven Simpson and his wife Susan of Arlington, MA, and Harry Todd Simpson of Salem, MA; two step-grandchildren, Kelly and Bryant; and a brother, Normand Roy and his wife Sylvia of New Brunswick, Canada. Roger was predeceased by his first wife, Annette (Martin) Roy; two sons David and Paul Roy; and a sister, Sylvia Roy.
Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service with Military honors in the St. Mary's Cemetery, North St. Salem on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 10am. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bread of Life, Malden, Ma. To send a condolence to the family please comment below.
