Salem - Kevin Daniel Smith, Jr., 39, of Salem, passed away suddenly Sunday morning, December 9, 2018. He was the husband of Erin A. (O'Shea) Smith of Salem.
Born in Malden, MA, Kevin was the son of Kathleen E. (Hughes) Smith of Bradenton, Florida and Kevin D. Smith, Sr. of North Reading. Kevin received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, and was working with Putnam Investments in Andover. Kevin enjoyed playing golf and traveling with his wife on weekend getaways. He was an avid Boston sports fan and most importantly loved spending time and laughing with family and friends.
Along with his wife, Erin A. (O'Shea) Smith and parents, Kathleen E. (Hughes) Smith and Kevin D. Smith, Sr.; Kevin is survived by a sister, Erin K. Smith and her partner John Martin of Tewksbury; his niece and nephew Kayleigh E. and Jack F. Martin; his father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Jayne O'Shea of Salem; a sister-in-law Shannon O'Shea of Salem; a brother-in-law Christopher O'Shea of Cambridge; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visiting hours will be in the Berube & Sons Funeral Home, 191 Lafayette St. Salem, MA on Thursday from 4-8pm. Relatives and friends are also invited to meet at St. John the Baptist Church, 17 Chestnut St. Peabody, MA for a funeral Mass on Friday at 10am. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
