Amesbury- Norma J. Hutchins, 56, of Amesbury, passed away unexpectedly December 3, 2018 at her home.
Born in Saugus, MA, the daughter of the late Diane L. (Howard) Hutchins; she is survived by her beloved father George R. Hutchins, Sr. of Peabody, MA, brothers Scott R. Hutchins of Peabody MA and George R. Hutchins Jr. of Avon, IN as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends. Norma was employed as a Senior Debt Collection Professional for several law firms and debt collection agencies. She was a graduate of Saint Anne’s Catholic High School in Arlington, MA and attended Essex Agricultural and Technical Institute in Danvers, MA--graduating as an operating room technician. She furthered her medical education when she moved to FL and attended Medical Arts Training Center in Margate, FL.
Norma was born in Saugus, MA where she lived for many years on Boston’s North Shore and moved to Florida in the early 90’s where she spent some years working as a medical technician before returning to MA in 1998 where she purchased her own home and settled in Amesbury. She loved to visit and spend time on many of the area’s beautiful beaches. She was an avid volunteer at her local animal shelter and had a passion for music.
It is with great sadness we have to say goodbye to our dear friend Norma Jean as you’re one of the nicest most sincere and caring persons that we could ever have the chance to meet and know. Until we meet again you will remain in our hearts forever.
A memorial service for Norma will be planned to be held in May 2019.
