Priscilla Frances (Mackey) Jamont, 55 May 30, 1961 ~ September 15, 2016

October 10, 2016 Catalyst Pulse

Priscilla Frances (Mackey) Jamont, 55, of Newton, NH, formerly of Salem, MA passed away Thursday, September 15, 2016 surrounded by her loved ones following a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of James Jamont of Newton, NH.

Born in Salem, Priscilla was the daughter of the late Edward F. and Doris (Pero) Mackey. She was a graduate of the former St. Chretiennes, Ste. Anne School, and Salem High School. Priscilla worked for many years as a waitress with Bickford's in Haverhill and Pizza Hut in Peabody, MA. She loved to cook and garden and loved her many pets over the years. She had a generous heart and a keen wit and was always a caregiver to anyone in need; demonstrated in part by donating the gift of sight to someone after her passing. Priscilla and her family enjoyed taking trips to Port Orange, Florida, and spending time at the family camp on Sunrise Lake in Middleton, NH. She loved her family and friends and will be missed dearly. She asked her family to thank all "her girls" at the Cancer Center and Third Floor of the Douglas Wentworth Hospital in Dover, NH for their compassion, care, and friendship shown to her during this difficult time.

Priscilla is survived by her husband, James Jamont of Newton, NH; daughter, Casey Marie Jamont of Newton, NH; brother, Thomas C. Mackey of Danvers; sister, Mary McCarthy and her husband Mark of Danvers; nephew and Godson Thomas McCarthy, nephews Kevin, Edward, Mark, Jr., and Charles McCarthy; and a niece, Kristen McCarthy.

Her funeral will be held from the Berube & Sons Funeral Home, 191 Lafayette St. (Rt.1A/114) Tuesday at 9am followed by a funeral Mass in Ste. Anne Church, Jefferson Ave. Salem at 10am. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem, MA. Visiting hours are Monday from 4-8pm. To send a condolence to the family please visit www.BerubeFuneralHome.com.
