Peabody- Claire (LaPointe) Montminy, 89 of Peabody, passed away Sunday afternoon, June 9, 2024 at Ledgewood Skilled Nursing in Beverly, MA. She was the loving wife of Roland Montminy of Peabody.
Born in Salem, MA, Claire was the daughter of the late Omer and Cecile (LeBel) LaPointe. Claire was a graduate of the former Ste. Chretienne Academy in Salem and worked for many years as a waitress at the former General Glover, The Continental, and King's Grant in Beverly, and also as a seamstress for local dry cleaning companies. She enjoyed her sewing and crocheting club "The Knitwits" and spending time with her nieces and nephews and her brother and sister-in-law Norman and Bobbie.
Along with her husband of 64 years, Roland Montminy of Peabody, Claire is survived by her sons and their spouses. She was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law Deacon Norman LaPointe and Roberta "Bobbie" LaPointe.
