MARBLEHEAD- Leonard A. Frost Jr. - 88, of Marblehead and Danvers, passed away October 7, 2024, at Brightview Senior Living, Danvers, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Joan (Thomas) Frost with whom he shared 56 years of marriage.
Len was born in Marblehead to the late Leonard and Eleanor (Powers) Frost. He was a graduate of Marblehead High School Class of 1953. Len was the proprietor of Frost Shell Service Station until its closing in 1984. He then worked at Little Harbor Boat Yard followed by Dion’s Yacht Yard until his retirement. Lenny was a skilled handyman enjoying many projects around the house, he also enjoyed photography, boating, NASCAR racing, wood carving and word puzzles. For many years he was an active member of the Marblehead Senior Center where he enjoyed bowling, bocce, and shuffleboard.
Lenny is survived by his two children and their spouses, John (Jan) Frost of Salem and Debra (Keith) Burgess of Danvers, four grandchildren Elizabeth Burgess, Jennifer Burgess and her fiancé Tom Corliss III, Maegan O’Malley, Kevin O’Malley and his partner Holly Toner, and his brother and his spouse Peter (Diane) Frost of Booth Bay, ME.
ARRANGEMENTS: A private burial and graveside service was held at Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Len’s name to Care Dimensions 75 Sylvan St. Danvers, MA 09123.
