Jeanne L. Marcinkowski, 85

January 16, 1938 – August 8, 2023

Jeanne L. Marcinkowski, 85, of Plaistow, NH, passed away unexpectedly in Boston. She was the wife of the late John Marcinkowski.

Born in Salem, MA, Jeanne was the daughter of the late Rene and Irene (Bourgault) Cormier. Jeanne was a Registered nurse and worked for years at Shaughnessy Hospital in Salem as well as Oxford Manor in Haverhill. In her later years she lived with her daughter Laurie and loved to help assist in the raising of her grandchildren.

Jeanne was a devout Catholic and was a parishioner of St. Luke Parish and Holy Angels Church. She enjoyed knitting for the church fair for her booth she called the Country Store. Jeanne liked to watch and feed the birds and enjoyed tending to her vegetable garden. She was an avid Boston Bruins fan. She loved her cat Emily and liked word search and crossword puzzles. Above all she loved to spend time with her family.

Jeanne leaves behind her brother John Bourgault and his wife Carol Ann of Mesa AZ, her first husband Cliff Sauvageau and their children, Laurie MacCuish of Plaistow, NH, Donna Desjardins of Merrimac, MA, Terri Furnari and her husband Peter of Danvers, Bob Marcinkowski and his wife Ann of Auburn, NH and seven grandchildren.

Visiting hours are in the Berube & Sons Funeral Home 191 Lafayette St. Salem, MA on Monday, August 21, 2023 from 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jeanne's name to St Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the MSPCA. A Memorial Liturgy for Jeanne Marcinkowski will also be celebrated at Saint Luke the Evangelist Parish. Plaistow, NH on Tuesday, August 22 at 10 am.
