Salem- Ronald Reginald Charest, 71, of Salem, passed away Thursday morning, March 30, 2023 quietly in his sleep following a long illness. He was the husband of Anna M. (Cormier) Charest of Salem.
Born in Lewiston, ME, Ronald was the son of the late Roger A. and Therese I. (St.Pierre) Charest. Ron worked for many years as a foundryman at aluminum foundries. He loved to work with his hands, he also enjoyed talking about his work and was very proud of his trade.
Surviving Ron, along with his loving wife Anna M. (Cormier) Charest, of Salem, are a son, Keith R. Charest of Salem, a daughter Tina A. Charest of Salem, his brother, Paul Charest and his wife Raylene of Marblehead, and his sisters, Jackie Charest of Maine and Joline Pelletier of Maine and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours in the Berube & Sons Funeral Home, 191 Lafayette St Salem on Monday, April 10 from 5 p.m.to 7 p.m., and are also invited to meet directly at Ste. Anne Church, 292 Jefferson Ave. Salem on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 for a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Salem. To send a condolence to the family please comment below.
