Marblehead- Carolyn J. (Berube) Guarino, of Marblehead, passed away at Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln, MA December 28, 2023. She was the wife of the late Louis Guarino.
Born in Salem, Carolyn was the daughter of the late Laurent V. and Rose A. (LeBrun) Berube. Carolyn received her Master’s Degree from Salem State University and had a long career as an elementary school teacher with the City of Salem schools. Carolyn was led by her faith and was a longtime parishioner of Star of the Sea Church in Marblehead. She enjoyed playing games and telling stories and most of all spending time with her family and her friends.
Carolyn is survived by her children, Linda Guarino of Marblehead, MA, Paul Guarino and his wife Johanna Guarino of Bedford, MA, and Donna McNally of Georgetown, MA; her grandchildren, Ashley Guarino, Emma Guarino, Maura McNally, and Neve McNally; her sister Janice LeClerc and her husband Ronald of Peabody, MA, and her sister-in-law Sharon Berube, Hudson, Florida;and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brothers Bertram Berube, and Donald Berube.
Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral Mass in Star of the Sea Church, Atlantic Ave. Marblehead on Friday, January 5, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead. Visiting Hours are Thursday from 4 to 7 in the Berube and Sons Funeral Home, 191 Lafayette St, Salem.
