Roger A. Berube, 75
May 23, 1947 – December 21, 2022
Peabody- Roger A. Berube, 75, of Peabody, passed away at his home in the company of his loving family following a long struggle with Alzheimer's Disease. He was the devoted husband of Theresa (Grenier) Berube.
Born in Salem, MA, Roger was the son of the late Fernand and Irene (Jalbert) Berube. Roger was a graduate of Northeastern University and worked for many years as an Auditor and later the Director of Commercial Loans with Bank Boston and eventually culminating his banking career with Bank of America. In retirement, Roger enjoyed time with his family, especially caring for his four grandchildren. In addition to his love of crossword and jigsaw puzzles, he enjoyed golf, basketball, and home renovation projects. He also took great satisfaction tutoring students in ESL, Math, and Accounting. Known for his generous heart, Roger was the first person to offer a hand. His generosity extended beyond his family and friends to people he met in his travels.
Roger is survived by his wife of 53 years, Theresa (Grenier) Berube, his daughters, Michelle Losolfo and her husband Mark of Salem, and Melissa Mootafian and her husband Stephen of Peabody; four grandchildren, Noah and Seth Mootafian, and Emma and Ryan Losolfo; his siblings, Beatrice Fortini and her husband Carl, Elaine Carson, Ann Marie Berube Junkins, and Julie Carpenter and her husband Robert Carpenter Jr; his siblings-in-law Jacqueline Poussard and her husband Henry, Suzanne Merrill and her husband Ken, Claudette Frechette, Carolyn Languirand and her husband Thomas, and Mark Grenier and his wife Susan; along with beloved nieces and nephews. Roger is predeceased by his brothers-in-law, Richard Frechette, James Carson and Ken Junkins.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours in the Berube & Sons Funeral Home 191 Lafayette St Salem, MA on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. and also to meet at St. John the Baptist Church, 17 Chestnut St Peabody, MA, Thursday, December 29 for an 11 a.m. Funeral Mass.
