Norman H. LeBlanc, 93

Norman H. LeBlanc, 93, passed away August 7th at the Herrick House in Beverly, MA. He was the beloved husband of 70 years to Theresa (St. Laurent) LeBlanc.
Born to the late J. Wilfrid LeBlanc and Laura (Tremblay) LeBlanc, Norman grew up in Salem and graduated from Salem HS in 1947. He joined the Navy and was assigned to the Presidential yacht, USS Sequoia and then served aboard the Submarine, USS Sirago as quartermaster during the Korean War. He was a proud member of the US Sub Vets, Marblehead base. Norman graduated from Northeastern University and worked at GTE Sylvania as a Purchasing Agent for 33 years.
The many fun times aboard Sea Pal and lively stories will be missed. He was a 70+ year lifetime member of Palmer’s Cove Yacht Club and spent many summers cruising the New England coast with family and friends. He raised his family in Marblehead, and was a longtime member of the Star of the Sea Parish.
Norman is survived by his wife, Theresa and children, Denise and Bob Watts of Fairfield, VA, Kathy and Peter Fabiszewski of Lynnfield, MA, Patrice and Roger Banks of Jackson, WY, Steven and Kim LeBlanc of Lexington, VA, Renee and Russ Austin of Salem, MA, five grandchildren, one great grandchild, a brother, Roger LeBlanc and his wife Lois of Salem, his sisters Marjorie Hollow of North Andover, Lucille Pooler of Brewster, a sister-in-law Margaret LeBlanc of Salem and a daughter-in-law Lee LeBlanc of Lynn, and many nieces, nephews, and boating friends.
Norman was predeceased by his son, Mark LeBlanc, and his siblings, Charlie, George, Althea, Louis, Ray, Leatrice and Leo LeBlanc.
Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Hawthorne Blvd. Salem on Wednesday, August 11 at 11 a.m. followed by burial with military honors at St. Mary's Cemetery Salem.
