Salem - Gloria Piotrowski, 82, of Salem, passed away in Ledgewood Beverly following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of John Piotrowski.
Born in Salem, MA, Gloria was the daughter of the late Adelard J. "Joe" and Lucy (Cronin) Gilbert.
In her younger years, she spent many days at the Pioneer Village beach at Forest River Park with her children, sharing her love of the beach with them. As an avid Elvis fan, his movies and music frequently echoed through her home. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and family and was a member of the Salem Council on Aging.
Gloria was an exceptional wife and mother. She devoted her life to caring for her family, her friends, and those around her. She did this not out of obligation, but because this was simply who she was. Many were touched by her kind soul and she will be greatly missed.
Along with her husband of 61 years, John "Jack" Piotrowski of Salem, Gloria is survived by her son, Kevin Piotrowski with his girlfriend Nash Reddy of Henniker, NH, her daughters Debralee Medina of Peabody, and Karen Piotrowski with her husband Jayson Walker of Salem; a granddaughter, Nicole Medina of Peabody; brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. Gloria was predeceased by her brother Joel Gilbert and sister Dorothy Gilbert.
