Barbara Erps, 66

December 16, 2021 Eric Berube

Barbara Erps, 66

04/25/1955 - 12/10/2021

Salem- Barbara (Rogalski) Erps, 66, of Salem, passed away Friday evening, December 10, 2021 in Beverly Hospital with her devoted sons by her side.

Born in Salem, Barbara was the daughter of the late Joseph and Gertrude (Hansen) Rogalski.  She was educated in Salem schools and was a graduate of Bishop Fenwick High School.  A resident of Salem for most of her life, she enjoyed summers in Buzzards Bay with her family.  Barbara was the lead vocalist for Joey Sokol and the Polkateens and was the lead vocalist for and recorded songs with the Ampoltones.  Early in Barbara’s career she worked as a travel agent with B&B Travel and Crossroads Travel.  She moved on to work as a reservations manager for Delta Airlines before she retired.  Barbara’s career in the travel industry allowed her to travel throughout the United States and to her favorite islands of Jamaica, Bermuda and Aruba where she would bring back information to guarantee that her clients would be satisfied with her travel suggestions.  Barbara enjoyed dining out at restaurants near and far and was never afraid to taste test every cuisine on a menu.

Surviving Barbara are her two sons, Eric Erps and his wife Shawna Erps of Beverly, MA, and Keith Erps of Salem, MA;  her two cherished grandsons Noah and Ethan Erps and her Godchild, Nicole Donnellan.  Throughout Barbara’s life she formed many friendships and was especially close to her best friend Francie Sudak and her sister in-law Paula Donovan.  Barbara will be missed by those who were blessed to know her.

Funeral arrangements are private.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Barbara’s memory to the American Heart Association, www.heart.org or St. Jude Children’s Hospital, www.StJude.org .  To send a condolence to the family please visit BerubeFuneralHome.com.
