Beverly-Lydia “Virginia” Rogers, 93, of Beverly passed away peacefully Friday evening at Ledgewood Nursing Home in Beverly.  Born in Beverly, Virginia was the daughter of the late James E. and Mary Rose (Sturk) Rogers.  Virginia was a life long resident of Beverly and worked for the United Shoe Machinery Corp for over 40 years where she began her career as a courier and retired as a machinist up until its closing in the late 80’s. 
Virginia was an avid and talented sewer/knitter and was constantly working on a project. In her early years she enjoyed going to the beach, ballroom dancing, traveling on summer retreats with her friends to places like the Alan “A” Resort in Wolfeboro, NH  and the many adventures with her loving sister “Dolly” always by her side.
Virginia’s life was shaped with a selfless commitment towards her family, friends, and anyone in need.  She will be greatly missed by her Great nephew Justin E. Muzarol and great niece Amy L. Muzarol
Virginia is survived by her nephews F. Robert Dion of Nokomis Fl and John Leblanc of Beverly. Her nieces Joyce Hendrickson of Laconia N.H. and Marie T. “Terry” Sadowski of Revere. Several great nephews and nieces as well as great-great nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Virginia is predeceased by her brothers, John, James, Arthur, and Frank Rogers and her sisters, Grace Dion, Barbara Lima and Joanne Leblanc.
Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service in North Beverly Cemetery, 685 Cabot Street Beverly, MA on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 11:00 am.
