James M. Riley, 62, of Salem, passed away Wednesday morning, July 10, 2019. He was the loving husband of the late Delphine M. "Dovey" (Edgett) Riley.

Born on January 10, 1957, Jim was the son of the late Delia (Raymond) Riley and the late Joseph J. Riley. He was raised, educated, and resided in Salem until the time of his passing.

Jim spent many years working as an electrician and painter. He had a love for Boston sports teams, fishing, cribbage and playing cards. He especially enjoyed his time at the Italian and French Clubs to which he and his late wife Dovey were members for many years. Jimmy was known for his quick wit, infectious smile and was always the life of the party.

James is survived by his sisters, Janet Andrews and her husband Ken of Salem and Linda Riley of Methuen: his brother-in-law, Lonnie Edgett and his wife, Karen of Deerfield, N.H.; his nieces, Brenda Haskell and her husband Jason, and Lindsey Cottom and her husband John; his nephews, Douglas Andrews and his wife Courtney, and Spencer Edgett and his wife Nicole, and his many great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
