Salem - Doris Mary (Desilets) Le Vasseur, 75, of Salem, passed away at her home Monday morning, May 6, 2019 following a long illness. She was the loving wife of Robert Le Vasseur of Salem.
Born in Lynn, MA, Doris was the daughter of the late Oliver and Irene (Ouellette) Desilets. She was a graduate of Salem Schools and lived in Salem most of her life. Among many joys in her life, Doris loved to crochet blankets and clothes for her family and friends.
Along with her husband Robert Le Vasseur of Salem, Doris is survived by her children, Lori Calnan and her husband Thomas of Lynnfield, Tom Le Vasseur and his wife Mary of Salem, and Peter Le Vasseur of Beverly; three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Christopher, and Cian; her siblings, Leona Desilets, Robert Desilets and his wife Kathleen, and Edward Desilets and his wife Madeline all of Salem. Doris was predeceased by her sister, Mary Levesque.
Relatives and friends are invited to Doris' funeral Mass Saturday at 10 am at Ste. Anne's Church, Jefferson Ave. Salem followed by burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours are in the Berube & Sons Funeral Home, 191 Lafayette St. Salem, Friday 4-7 pm.
