Noella T. Gness, 90

Salem- Noella T. (Marquis) Gness, 90, of Salem, passed away Friday, Sept. 14, 2018 at Kaplan Hospice House in the company of her loving family. She was wife of the late Stephen Gness.
Born in Salem, Noella was the daughter of the late Joseph and Roseanne (Blais) Marquis. Noella graduated from the former St. Joseph Academy in Salem before working with the telephone company for a time. Later, Noella worked for years at Sylvania in Salem. Noella enjoyed cruises, trips to Las Vegas and liked playing Keno and going on occasional trips to Foxwoods, Wonderland, and Suffolk Downs.
Surviving her are a son, Stephen A. Gness of Salem; a daughter, Diane M. Cook and her significant other Alfred P. Martin of Farmington, NH; two granddaughters, Jennifer Prince and her husband Seth of Blaine, ME, and Kristy Bates of Methuen, MA; three great-grandchildren, Riley and Sloan Prince, and Ava Bates Ash.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours in the Berube & Sons Funeral Home, 191 Lafayette St. Salem, MA on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 4-7pm. Her funeral will be held in Ste. Anne Church, Jefferson Ave. Salem, Wednesday at 10 am. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Salem.
