Frank C. Harvey, 74

Salem- Frank Chard Harvey, 74, of Salem, passed away Friday evening, April 14, 2017 at his home in Salem. He was the husband of the late Carol A. (Wentworth) Harvey.
Born in Gloucester, MA, Frank was the son of the late Oscar C. and Gertrude (Marshall) Harvey. Frank worked for many years as a truck driver. Frank grew up in Gloucester and moved to Lynn for a time before moving to Salem 21 years ago. He was a Boy Scout Troop Leader for the Special Needs Troop #199 and drove a bus for special needs children for years. Frank enjoyed playing in a Gloucester Cribbage League and most of all he loved to take his dogs for long walks all over the Lynn Woods. He also looked forward to going to Montreal and Daytona Beach, FL to spend time with his life long friends George and Linda Alevisatos.
Frank is survived by his children, Theresa Hernando and her husband Mark of Salem, John Harvey of Salem and Robert Harvey of Salem; his grandchildren, Joshua and his wife Stacy, Zach, Cameron, Kyle, and Brandon Harvey, and Sarah and Emily Hernando; his great-grandson, Lucas; his daughter-in-law, Angela Harvey of Salem; his brothers and sisters, Marilyn Gallivan, John Harvey and his wife Grace, Anne Gibbs and her husband John, and Susan Mayo; and his brother-in-law, Greg Morrison. Frank is predeceased by his son, the late Frank Mello, and a sister, the late Mary Morrison.
Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial celebration of Frank's life at the Harmony Grove Chapel, Grove St. Salem Saturday, April 22 at 10am. Private burial will be at a later date.
