Eleanor Hennessey King, 62

Salem- Eleanor Hennessey King, 62, of Salem, passed away in the company of her loving family on October 26, 2017 in NSMC Salem.
Eleanor was born in Peabody, MA the daughter of the late Joseph F. and Clare T. (Monaghan) Hennessey. Living in Salem most of her life, she was a graduate of Salem High School and Salem State University. After college, Eleanor began a career in teaching which spanned three decades beginning in St. Mary's School in Beverly for six years followed by twenty-six years as a kindergarten teacher at the Bates School in Salem until her retirement just this year.
Eleanor is survived by her two children, Katelyn Clare King of Salem, and Joseph James King of Salem; her brother, James Hennessey and his wife Geraldine of Salem; her sisters, Kathleen Hennessey of Marblehead, and Eileen Konopnicki of Lynn; her nieces and nephews, Susan Hennessey; Michael Hennessey and his wife Meghan; Scott Comeau, his wife Libby and two children, Marie and Timothy; Kevin Hennessey, his wife Kara and three daughters, Kayla, Kylie, and Kenzie; Keith Comeau, his wife Amy and four children, Cal, Avery, Brett and Troy; Neil Comeau; and Clare Piehowski, her husband Kyle and daughter, Reagan, and several cousins.
Visiting hours in the Berube & Sons Funeral Home 191 Lafayette st, Salem, MA on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 5-8pm. Relatives and friends are also welcome to meet at St. James Church, Federal Street, Salem, Saturday morning at 10am for her funeral Mass. Burial will be private at a later date.
