Henry Theophil Lusignan, 88, of Peabody, Massachusetts, formerly of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2016, after a long illness. His beloved wife, Carolyn (Budrow), to whom he was married nearly sixty years, died in 2013. Henry was born in Pittsfield on April 22, 1928, and was the son of Beatrice M. (Lessard) Lusignan and Lorenzo R. Lusignan. Henry graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1945, and served in the United States Navy before enrolling in the drafting apprenticeship program at General Electric in Pittsfield. He worked at the GE for forty years, and retired in 1987. He was an avid fisherman who loved the Berkshires.

Henry was a member of the former St. Teresa’s Church in Pittsfield, and he and Carolyn lived on Gamwell Avenue for over fifty years before they moved to Peabody in 2011. Henry was a generous and devoted family man. He leaves a daughter, Nancy Lusignan Schultz and son-in-law, Jackson Schultz, of Swampscott, Massachusetts, and a son, Larry P. Lusignan and daughter-in-law, Nancy Walker Lusignan, of Groveland, Massachusetts. He was an adored grandparent of his grandsons, W. Jackson Schultz III, Jonas Conrad Schultz, and the late Henry Abram Schultz, and of his granddaughter, Taylor Rebecca Lusignan. He was the brother of the late Norman Lusignan of Pittfield, and is survived by two sisters, Lucille Carmody of Dalton and Madeline Bagdonas of Hyannis, and a brother-in-law, Stephen Budrow, and his wife, Jean, of Williamstown. His many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and friends also will fondly remember him.

Arrangements are by Berube & Sons Funeral Home in Salem, Massachusetts. There will be no calling hours. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pittsfield, Massachusetts on Wednesday, June 15, at 10:00 a.m., immediately followed by a burial service for both Henry and Carolyn at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Pittsfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Henry T. Lusignan’s name may be made to St. Joseph Central High School, 22 Maplewood Avenue, Pittsfield, Massachusetts 01201.
