Beverly – Elaine M. (Berube) Carson, 79, of Beverly, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House. She was the beloved wife of the late James Carson, they enjoyed over 50 years of marriage.

Born in Salem, Elaine was the daughter of the late Ferdinand Berube and Irene (Jalbert) Berube. She was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School and Marian Court College. Elaine stayed home and proudly raised her daughter and in later years worked as an insurance agent for 27 years alongside her sister and best friend Bea. She loved her time and cherished friends at Circle Insurance.

One of the greatest joys of her later years was living with her daughter, son-in-law, and three grandsons, who affectionately called her "Mimi." Their home was filled with laughter, love, and meaningful moments shared each day. She cherished being part of her grandsons’ daily lives, cheering them on at their games, enjoying meals together, and offering her constant encouragement, laughter and love. The bond they all shared was deep and unconditional, and the time they spent together brought her immeasurable happiness. Her presence made their house a true home, and her love will remain in their hearts forever. Beyond the love she shared for her human family, she loved their family dog Mayzie who always kept her laughing but she especially loved their cat Mookie who loved his Mimi as much as she loved him.

She is survived by her daughter, Christine Mezza and her husband Timothy of Beverly, MA, and her grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew, and Jonathan, all of Beverly. She also leaves her siblings: Beatrice Fortini and her husband Carl of Beverly, MA, Ann Marie Berube Junkins of Danvers, MA, Julie and Robert Carpenter of North Andover, MA; her sisters-in-law Theresa Berube of Peabody, Jacqueline and Roy Chouinard of Peabody, Joan and Michael Burke of Essex, MA; and her brother-in-law John and Jean Carson of Hampton, NH.
