Peabody – Luisa “Louise” A. (Massarella) Tinkham, 91, passed away in the company of her loving family, early Wednesday morning April 12.

Born in Beverly, MA, Louise was the daughter of the late Luigi and Gilda (Puglia) Massarella from Fondi, Italy. Louise and her late husband Sylvester “Tink” Tinkham, a 30 year police officer in Beverly, lived in Beverly where they raised their family. Louise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother devoted to her family. She loved to cook, sew, knit, took many classes, and always had some sort of craft in the making. She was an avid reader and often would finish a book in a day. Louise and Tink spent many years at Four Seasons Campground on Long Lake in Naples, Maine where many long life friendships were made. She was a kind soul, with a big heart, sense of humor, and loved to tell stories. Louise will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Louise is survived by her daughter, Judy Jennings and her husband Steven of Peabody, a son, Michael Tinkham and his wife Debra of Beverly, her grandchildren, Maryanne Melchiorri and her husband David, Kaitlin and Daniel Jennings, two great-grandchildren, Jocelyn and Leo Michael and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Amelia Semple, Vinzie Nardone, Livia Salvanelli, and her brother Pasquale Massarella.
