Richard A. Blais, 54,

March 1, 1968 - October 5, 2022


Salem – Richard A. Blais of Wakefield, MA passed away at his home October 5, 2022. Richard was born in Salem and was the youngest son of the late Armand and MaryJane (Davis) Blais.

He attended Salem High School and worked for many years as a Roofer and Carpenter. Richard was an avid hockey player and a lifelong fan of the Boston Bruins. Another love of Richards’ was watching auto racing, always rooting for Ferrari. Growing up with a large backyard pool, he mastered his diving skills and entertained all who would watch. Richard passed his love for the band, Rush, to his daughter April and they spent many times singing their songs together. Richard was forever young at heart. He possessed the kind of laugh and fun energy that was contagious. The kindness of his soul benefited all who surrounded him as he was always the first to lend a helping hand.

Richard is survived by his loving daughter, April Blais of Beverly; his siblings Donna Michaud of Beverly, Sandra McMahon of Salem, David Belleau and his wife Doreen of Peabody and his girlfriend Kathleen Connell of Salem. In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by three brothers, Robert Blais, Michael Belleau and Paul Belleau.

Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours Monday, October 17, 6-8pm at Berube and
Sons Funeral Home, 191 Lafayette Street, Salem. Burial will be private in the family lot in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
