Lillian Ballinger, 86

March 9, 1934 - February 15, 2021

Salem, MA - Lillian (Moreau) Ballinger, 86, of Salem, passed away Monday evening, February 15, 2021 at the Brudnick Center in Peabody. She was the wife of the late Denis Ballinger.

Born in Salem, MA Lillian was the daughter of the late Elzear Sr. and Jeanette (Malo) Moreau. Lillian worked for many years at Salem Hospital and later as a nurses' aide at local nursing homes. She enjoyed playing Bingo and dancing and loved her parakeets which she kept for many years.

Surviving Lillian are her two daughters, Linda Morneau of Amesbury, MA, and Laurie Yezerski and her husband Donald of Peabody, MA; her grandchildren, Stacie Alves, Chrystal Boyle and her husband Stephen, and Jamie Ballinger; ten great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Lillian is also survived by her sister Annette Amirault and her husband Raymond of Lynn. Along with her husband Denis Ballinger, Lillian was predeceased by her siblings Elzear Jr, and Robert Moreau.

Visiting hours will be held in the Berube & Sons Funeral Home, 191 Lafayette St. Salem, MA on Thursday, February 18, 2021 from 4 to 7p.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Social distancing, mask use, and occupancy limits will be observed. All other services will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association through www.alz.org.
