Salem –Albert H. Fournier 72, of Salem, passed away in the company of his loving family Wednesday afternoon May 27, 2020 at the Kaplan Hospice House in Danvers. He was the husband of Lucille (Bernier) Fournier.

Born in Lynn, MA, Albert was the son of the late Albert H. and Cecelia M. (Bell) Fournier. Al enlisted into the U.S. Air Force when he served honorably from 1966 until 1972 during the Vietnam War as a Staff Sergeant.

Al returned home and got a degree in Economics from Salem State University. He lived in Peabody and Salem most of his life and retired after a long career with the U.S. Postal Service in Peabody, MA, as a letter carrier.

Al was a devoted father and husband, and one of the most selfless human beings known by all who were blessed to have known him.

Al loved traveling to Jamaica with his wife Lulu , and brought many of his family members there as well. He loved going out on his boat to Good Harbor beach. He loved going to his club the VFW 1524, and playing pool and participating in all the events.

Surviving Albert, along with his wife Lucille (Bernier) Fournier of Salem are his step-children and their spouses, Christine Provencher and her husband David of Danvers, Diane Tache Benyue and her husband Chuck of Salem, Edward Tache of Shrewsbury, Sandy Tache of Lynn, Ronald Tache and his wife Crissy of Gloucester, MA, and Michelle Tache of Salem; a nephew John Reddy and his wife Maureen; his nieces, Deanna, and Maria; 10 grandchildren, Ryan, Lauren, Jennifer, Robby, Andrew, Elise, Alyx, Adam, Hunter Albert (for whom he was named after), and Lucien, and one great granddaughter JoJo.

Along with his parents, Al was predeceased by a brother, Stephen Fournier, and a sister, Charlene (Fournier) (Reddy) Rodriguez.

Services with military honors at Cedar Grove Cemetery Peabody were private. Please comment below to send a condolence to the family.
