Eileen P. Dube, 79
June 22, 1940 - January 21, 2020
Eileen Priscilla (Brochu) Dube, aged 79, passed away Tuesday surrounded by her family following a brief illness. She was the loving wife of Albert Dube of Salem.
Born in Salem, MA, Eileen was the daughter of the late Henry and Cecile (Harris) Brochu. She was a graduate of the former Ste. Chretienne’s Academy in Salem. Eileen made a career as a devoted mother and an x-ray technician at the former Mary Alley Hospital and then Salem Hospital until her retirement in 2002.
Eileen loved to sing 1950’s tunes and was one of the sassiest people you would ever come across (she claimed she was Queen of Everything). She had a heart of gold and helped everyone she could. Eileen was a genuine, selfless, caring soul. She was the best friend who touched so many lives and will be missed immensely.
Surviving her, along with her husband, Albert N. Dube of Salem are her daughters, Robin Eddy of Salem, Kristin McLaughlin and her husband Michael of Leesburg, VA; six grandchildren, Amanda and Sara Eddy, Maddie and Betsy Blackwell, and Conor and Makena McLaughlin; three brothers-in-law Lucien, Roger, and Ray Dube; three sisters-in-law Rolande, Rita, and Patty; many nieces and nephews including James Deland, son of the late Constance Deland, and his wife Beth of California. Along with her sister Constance, Eileen is predeceased by her sister-in-law Lucille.
