Glenna Tress Maher
July 27, 1987 - January 2, 2018
Danvers- Glenna Tress Maher, 30, of Danvers, passed Tuesday morning, January 2, 2018 at her home in Danvers after losing her long battle with addiction.
Born in Salem, MA, Glenna was the daughter of Brian and Margaret Maher of Danvers. Glenna was a graduate of Danvers High School and received a degree from Clark University. She was an avid reader, loved Country music, summer, and boating with family. She loved animals, and in particular our mini dachshund Calvin. Glenna was a beautiful, vibrant young woman, full of life, with deep faith in God's love and forgiveness and was grateful for her time with family and wanted to be a good mother.
Along with her parents, P. Brian and Margaret C. (Woods) Maher of Danvers, Glenna is survived by her loving daughter, Helena Grace Farese; her sister, Maeve Kittredge Maher of Cape Cod; her brother, Gerald Kelly Maher of Boston, MA; her grandfather Jack Maher and Delores Maher of Salem; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Glenna was deeply and profoundly loved by all.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours in the Berube & Sons Funeral Home, 191 Lafayette St. Salem, MA on Friday, January 12 from 4-7p.m following a short service for family and close friends at 3:30. Burial will be private at a later date in Bridgewater, Vermont. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Helena Grace Fund at Salem Five Bank, 85 High Street, Danvers, MA 01923 or the World Wildlife Fund.
