Roger A. Nadeau 81

Salem- Roger Albert Nadeau, 81, of Salem, passed away January 7, 2017 at Beverly Hospital in the company of his family. He was the husband of sixty years of Barbara Nadeau of Salem.
Born in Salem, Roger was the son of the late P. Albert and Loretta (Berube) Nadeau. He worked for many years as a shoe cutter at Dutch's Shoe in Salem before their closing; thereafter he began his career in plumbing until his retirement in 1998. Roger was an avid outdoor sportsman. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and hunting and loved traveling in their fifth-wheel cross country for years before finally retiring to their home in Beverly.
Along with his wife Barbara A. (Swenbeck) Nadeau of Salem, Roger is survived by his sons, Brian Nadeau and his wife Mary of Groveland, and Keith Nadeau and his wife Theresa of Danvers; a son-in-law Michael Bickford of Salem; his eight grandchildren Stephanie, Felicia, Samantha, Tyler, Danielle, Heather, Robbie, and Heath; six great-grandchildren, Alana, Johnny, Owen, Ava, Wes, Lyla; two brothers, Arthur and Armand Nadeau; and nieces and nephews. Roger is predeceased by his daughter, Sharon (Nadeau) Bickford.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Hawthorne blvd. Salem, Saturday, January 14 at 10am.
